Still love it!

Do you guys remember the show Ready Or Not? It was Canadian (Canadians get the best teen dramas ever!), but they used to show edited episodes on the Disney Channel in the U.S. mid 90's or so. My crappy cable company had Disney Channel as a pay channel, but my friend had it, so we watched it all the time together. I loved it so much, and I remember the first episode I saw was when Amanda found out her parents were getting divorced and she ran away to the mall. The mall would totes be the coolest place to live, and I always think of her when I see the beds in department stores.

YouTube has some episodes, so I'll put the awesome eating disorder one up for you. P.S. You can download the entire series in BitTorrent. I love Amanda in the early ones, but she gets too selfish and boy crazy for me in the later ones. Busy is totally Randy, except for some reason I love her. My mind works in mysterious ways!

EDIT: Crap, the user made it so the videos aren't able to be embedded!

This user has uploaded a bunch more episodes, too. Enjoy!

I remember that show...at the time it was on, Disney was a pay channel in my area too, but everyone once in awhile they'd have a free preview weekend.

The one episode I remember was Amanda started wearing a bra and Busy was jealous. I don't necessarily think Amanda was much bigger but Busy's brothers kept teasing her about being flat, so she decides she needs a bra. I don't think she's planning on stuffing so how wearing a bra makes a difference I don't quite get, but whatever.

I liked the show though. Not quite as much as Camp Salute your shorts, but it was okay.

The bra episode is on YouTube, too, I believe. It's called Thirty-Two Double A, haha.

I used to live for the free Disney Channel weekends! There so needs to be a channel now that has all of the Disney and Nickelodeon shows from that time period on it. Man, that would be awesome.

Salute Your Shorts should be released on DVD sometime soon, seeing as it's in the top 10 of most requested DVDs on tvshowsondvd.com. I remember watching it all the time when I was little, and it's amazing to me now that there really aren't that many episodes. That show was pure gold!

We should make a list of what it should have on it! In addition to yours, I say What Would You Do, Double Dare, Hey Dude, You Can't Do That On Television, The Torkelsons, Flash Forward, So Weird, Legends of the Hidden Temple, GUTS (but not Global GUTS because that sucked)...yes I know some of these are on Nick GAS, but alas, I have DirecTV and they don't offer that channel.

I agree about a classic Nick channel. I used to watch Clarissa all the time, along with Salute Your Shorts (I still know the theme by heart!), Double Dare, etc. NickGAS shows Double Dare, but it's Double Dare 2000, not the original w/ Marc Summers. :( I was so disappointed by then when we first got NickGAS, and I got all excited at being able to see Double Dare again.

As for Ready or Not, we didn't have Disney back then, so I never watched it. But I do know that I've heard of it. LOL

I fricken LOVE Ready Or Not. My fave eppy is the one where Amanda kisses Busy's older brother.

I downloaded every episodes ages ago, why haven't I watched them? Looks like I know what I'm doing this weekend..

I had them all, too, but for some reason I deleted the first three seasons and now I have to re-download them. I wish BitTorrent didn't take like 2 weeks to download stuff. Don't they know I need instant gratification?

Now don't be jealous or anything, but since I grew up in Toronto, which is where they show was filmed, I would run into Busy and Amanda all over the place. They were big time ravers and seemed to enjoy recreational narcotic use. For the record, both were kinda bitchy. That still doesn't stop me from watching reruns of it all the time..

No way! I never would've pegged them as the Hollywood It Girl types. Then again, I didn't realize BSC and SVH were written by ghostwriters until like a year ago, so I'm not really too quick on the uptake.

I watched the eating disorder episode on youtube...and, then, continued to stay up till 5 am watching the rest. They are great - both girls were so awkward, but managed to be really cute by the end of the show.
I really love the one where Amanda gets her heart broken by Busy's brother and Busy is dancing to try and cheer her up. Its cute.

OMG I just like hyperventilated, I loved that show, loved it so, so much and no-one I know remembers it!

My mum is a TV hog and wouldn't let me watch a lot of the time. I remember really hating her for that.

Thank you for the links!!!
