There was an episode of Law & Order SVU like that. It creeped me out. *shudders* I wonder if the L&O writers got the idea from this story. Wouldn't surprise me a bit.
Andrew Neiderman probably doesn't know what the internet even is, since he still doesn't think that women can wear pants or not have sex with relatives. I never realized that just about every series takes place in the 50's or 60's before until I read it on the V.C. Andrews forum.
Don't worry about being embarrassed about the story, the town I live in got a new firestation because ours BURNED DOWN...nothing really tops that for me. And OMG, do you cringe every time a BSC book butchers Australian slang?
I totally remember that episode of SVU, if it's the one where Schuyler Fisk (Kristy from the BSC movie!) gave birth to a baby and threw it out and then it turned out to have been fathered by her dad and wasn't the first one to be either. I love SVU so much, each episode is like a mini Lifetime movie! Ooh, and Christopher Meloni is super sexy.
And yes, at least Chris and Cathy were a hot incestuous couple, haha.
