Yes, I was a Hanson fan

While searching the top shelf of my closet last week for something, I came across my folders I had decorated and stored all of my Hanson and Spice Girls pictures and posters and stuff that I had had on my walls. Going through the Hanson folder, I found 3 magazine covers and knew I had to post them on here. Oh yeah, and I had one whole wall dedicated to the Spice Girls, from floor to ceiling. It was pretty sad. I also used to count all of my Spice Girls pictures and store the number in my Super Magic Diary. I last remember the count being over 800. I had problems.
Fashion Magic! I loved that shit! Or was it Jazzy Jewelry I had? I can't remember. Ooh, and KidSongs! That show rocked! If it was on right now, I'd have to save this post for later so I could watch it. I bet JTT was just thrilled with the article on how to spot him at the mall. Teenyboppers are fucking scary. I should know, I was one.
Dangerous with Leo! By dangerous, do they mean not washing your hair? He totes has a case of the greasies, and his eyes are really red. So high. I'm pretty sure I had the MMMBop To The Top book. I also had every Spice Girls book ever sold at my local Walden Books, a Leonardo DiCaprio book, and a different Hanson book. I should've spent that money on SVH books instead. Dumb me! Oh, and I have no idea how to find out if JTT is happy, but it sounds dirty.

I don't know what I cut out of this one, probably a Spice Girls picture or something. I really did have problems. However, ignore the cuddling with a Backstreet Boy toy for a second, and think about the Hanson mini-mag. I might still have it somewhere. I used to carry it around in my purse every day. Oh yeah, and by purse I mean a shiny bright yellow pleather baby backpack that had a huge smiley face on it. Are you cringing because of the bad fashion?

Ah, an insight into my 12 year old mind. Not a pretty thought. Make me feel better and tell me about your favorite teen idol and corresponding awful purse.

Hi - I'm really enjoying your posts and thank you for linking to my site!

I had a Spice Girls-dedicated wall, too...
One of the boys at my school fancied one of the Hansons before he found out that they weren't girls...bwahaha!

OMG, I remember the first time my friend Mandy and I saw the MMMBop video...we couldn't figure out if Taylor and Zac were boys or girls!

I love your site, I never knew there were different covers from the U.S. ones before I saw it!

Haha it reminds me of that "Family Guy" episode where Peter and the guys are fisherman and they talk about what female celebrity they'd want to be stranded on a desert island with and Quagmire says Taylor Hanson.

"Peter: If you could be stranded on a desert island with any woman in the world, who would it be?
Quagmire: Taylor Hanson.
Joe Swanson: Taylor Hanson is a guy.
Quagmire: [Laughs] You guys are yankin' me. "Hey, let's put one over on Quagmire."
Peter: No, he's actually a guy, Quagmire.
Quagmire: What? That's insane. That's impossible.
[Pause]
Quagmire: Oh God. Oh my God. I've got all these magazines. Oh God. "

OMG I love you! I totally do. I thought I was the only person who ever kept folders of magazine articles and counted their posters!

I have an obsessive personality and whoever was my current celeb crush would completely consume my life!

I used to have like panic attacks if I saw my crush in a magazine etc that I didn't have. Plus I used to tape everything my crush was in on TV and if anyone ever taped over them it was totally the end of the world.

Old school Teen Beat! I remember feeling so grown up when I got my first issue, I was about 8 years old then.

I was never too into Hanson(I had their cassette though, ha!), but I was the same way with The Backstreet Boys. I clipped every single picture and put them on my wall. I was totally obsessed! I also had a huge crush on JTT.

I have a 3-ring binder that is filed to the breaking point with the posters of Hanson that used to cover my walls. I also have a huge 5-subject notebook that is chock-full of articles and pictures of them that I clipped out and pasted into a scrapbook of sorts.

It's in a box in the storage area of my attic, but I'll have to get it out now and take a walk down the nostalgia hall of shame.

I actually just listened to a Spice Girls song, for reals. I loved them.

I kind of still do, actually.

I totally have a buttload of VHS tapes that I used to tape anything Spice Girls, Hanson, or NSYNC off of MTV, VH1, and any guest starring performances they may have done!

My bestfriend was obsessed with hanson, i was more into KoRn but i did the hanson thing for a while, the total gotta do what your bestfriend does. She even got tshirts made though, 500+posters...and we're from sydney aust so it isnt as easy to get fan merchandise. She then moved onto eminem lol
